Trigger warning for viewers; the platform highlights systemic and sexual violence experiences at the Smith School of Business. Stolen by Smith documents the experiences of students in and at the Smith School of Business and the environment it perpetuates. The platform allows students, alumni, and others who have been impacted to share anonymous submissions, which will later be blasted through the far-reaching platform.

The page has over 12,000 followers, with over 250 posts to date. The initial platform was inspired by Black at Harvard Law. The impact the Stolen by Smith platform has had in Canada has expanded across the nation, with similar accounts popping up at Universities as far as B.C.

What should students do when they consistently see their institution engaging in acts of performative activism?

What can students do to make sure the labour people like yourself and Meena are doing in the EDII space is appropriately recognized and addressed?

Can you speak briefly to ComSoc’s internal commitments and why a student organization can turn around action so much quicker than our administration?
